![]() ![]() Now it seems like everything at IK Multimedia has been 64-bit for a long time, but a few years ago it was different. ![]() ![]() Īfter a while, IK Multimedia started getting onboard for 64-bit computing, and I was able to start using updated versions of a lot-but not all-of my IK Multimedia software. Ī while later, NOTION 4 appeared, and it did 64-bit computing, but there was no 64-bit version of Miroslav Philharmonik, and there was no 64-bit version of SampleTank (IK Multimedia) so for a while I focused more on Kontakt 5 (Native Instruments), MachFive 3 (MOTU), and Twin 2 (FabFilter Software Instruments), along with everything else not from IK Multimedia. At the time, NOTION 3 was the current version. Several years ago, I was doing everything in 32-bit mode, and during this time I purchased the first version of Miroslav Philharmonik. I do everything on a 2.8-GHz 8-core Mac Pro (Early 2008) with 32GB system memory and fast internal hard drives, running Mac OS X 10.11.6 (El Capitan), which is the most recent version of Mac OS X this Mac Pro will run (if I want to run anything newer, then I have to get a newer Mac). ![]()
